Baptism

I saved the best part of the weekend for last. Maggie and I were baptized on Sunday morning. Maggie told her Sunday school class that you don't have to get baptized but it's like following in Jesus' footsteps. God has blessed her with a special spiritual gift. For me, this was a symbol of my obedience after being saved many, many years ago. What a precious thing to share baptism with my daughter. And to make it even more special, Bobby baptized us. Maggie is so little that she is hard to see in the baptistry, but I thought I'd share some pics anyway. I'll never forget her bobbing up and down in the water, just waiting for her daddy to dunk her! It was so cute!

Saturday evening

We headed over to Meme and Papaw's house after the big party. Meme made us homemade pizza, and the kids played and played outside. Mundy and Dennis brought down Jaxon's 4-wheeler, so the kids turned Papaw's yard into a racing track. Jayce and Jaxon also discovered a mama and baby salamander underneath a big rock in the yard. I thought Mundy was going to come unglued when Jaxon brought it over to her, but I loved it. Those are cool little critters!

Happy Birthday, Kaci!

Kaci's mom shows off some of her goodies. Isn't she lovely?

Uncle Bobby is a pretty princess

Aunt Robin and the birthday girl!

We had such a busy weekend, but it was a blast. We went to Carnegie to celebrate Kaci's birthday. She wasn't feeling great, but I think she enjoyed herself anyway. Her deep little voice was even deeper than usual. The cousins had a wonderful time as usual and the grown-ups ate too much and caught up on all the latest.

More Cowboy Hall of Fame pics

Cowboy Hall of Fame

I realize I'm going backward in time, but I had to share these pics of our Labor Day trip to the Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, or whatever it is now called. We had a blast. I love that my kids can look at art and be interested in it. We talked about why artists painted what they did and what materials sculptures were made out of. They are so perceptive and observant. We spent quite a bit of time in the Children's building. They enjoyed dressing up and riding the log horses. Bobby helped the girls put together a giant puzzle; they were so cute together. I loved the sculptures outside and got some great pictures there. We also found out that some of the great bucking stock and horses are buried out there on the grounds of the museum. The kids thought that was a little wierd!

Rockband!

Another favorite at the state fair was the Rockband exhibit. A giant semi was set up with a Rockband stage inside. Jayce couldn't stand the thought of leaving the fair without checking it out. The next thing Bobby and I knew, Jayce and Maggie were on the stage! The announcer said, "Oh my. These big boys have a tiny singer." Maggie graced him with one of her looks that kill and then went on to save two of them! That'll show him.

I'm sure I can't keep up with Sarah....

I love Sarah's blogs. Cayson is so cute, and she cracks me up. So, knowing that I have three of the cutest kids in the world, I decided it was time to grace the net with their presence. Please realize that I am NOT Sarah Jarnagin; therefore, my posts will be irregular and not so witty, but dog-gone-it, they'll be cute.....because they'll have pics of the kiddos.

We went to the State Fair on Saturday to see High School Musical on Ice. Bobby is more than a little convinced that I was just as excited as the kids. We enjoyed it, despite the rain!
